The Hygge Bakery

SØDT is pronounced soot and is Danish for sweet.
SØDT makes traditional artisan breads and pastries alongside a range of original rye based recipes, developed and made exclusively by SØDT. We use natural ingredients and slow fermentation for extra depth of flavour. All our ingredients are sourced as locally as possible and we favour small producers.
We are passionate about real bread and delicious food.

RUGBRØD (WHOLE GRAIN RYE BREAD)

Rye breads are a beautiful versatile alternative to wheat breads and a staple in every Danish kitchen. My packed lunchboxes through my school years, even through college, were always made up of rye bread sandwiches (mellemmadder). This version is an adaptation of my grandmother’s recipe.

The rye bread is sold freshly baked and ready to eat.

Ingredients: allergens, including cereals containing gluten, see ingredients in CAPITALS:  RYE flour (27.3%) , RYE grain (19.4%) , seed mix (8.2%) (SESAME SEEDS),
Salt, RYE flakes , maltone

Keep the rye bread stored in a plastic bag in the fridge, where it will last for 2 weeks.
